Mary Tomsco, 93, Will be Deeply Missed

Born in Slovakia on October 19, 1920 she came to Canada with her parents and later wed Vincent Matotek (married 1943-1967). Following his death in 1967, Mary relocated to Lorain where she remarried Steve Tomsco (married 1973-1988).
Mary is survived by her son Robert (Christine) Matotek of Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, granddaughter Jennifer (Brent) Wilson of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, sisters Irene (Harold) Brusch of Belwood, Ontario, Canada and the late Anne Gonske (2004). Additional survivors include her step-son David (Anna) Tomsco of Vermilion, her niece Karen Sandford, and nephew John Brusch.
Mary’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at Anchor Lodge, and Hospice, as well as her good friend Helen Thomas who was always there to help her.
Visitation will be Friday November 29th in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. The Reverend Craig Hovanec, pastor of the parish will officiate.
