Clarice Broglio, 97, Enjoyed Gardening & Cooking

Photo of Clarice Broglio Clarice Broglio (nee Cera), 97, of Lorain, died Monday December 2, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain while surrounded by her family.

She was born November 22, 1916 in Lorain and had resided there most of her life. She had lived in Vermilion for the past 9 years.

Clarice graduated from Lorain High School. She was a life member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Gramzelles Club.

Clarice enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, cooking, taking care of her family and was a skilled artist.

She is survived by her children Richard Broglio of Lorain, Robert (Mary Jane) Broglio of Lorain, Joanne (Albert) Kucirek of Lawrenceville, GA and Suzanne (Scott) Trifiletti of Vermilion, grandchildren Kristie and Amy Broglio, Jodi Bilancini, Debbie McLeroy and Anthony Trifiletti and great grandchildren Ashley and Shelby McLeroy and Ryan Bilancini. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Louis Broglio in 2008, parents Louis and Anna Cera (nee Scarnecchia), brothers John Cera, Reno Cera, Lucius Cera, Rev. Father Raymond Cera and Louis Cera, Jr and sister Laura Atkins.

The family will receive friends Thursday 3-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor of St. Peter Church and the Rev. Lawrence Martello, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst, will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
