Carolyn Nell Murrell, 81, Enjoyed Cooking & Baking

Carolyn was a graduate of Clearview High School, Class of 1950 and was employed as a secretary at the former Bendix Westinghouse in Elyria.

She attended the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Lorain and was the financial secretary of the church for 34 years. She was active in the Redeemer Guild for 30 years and was president of the Guild. She enjoyed cooking, baking and butterflies.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, David Alfred Murrell, daughter Mischa Barr, grandchildren Charles and Caitlyn Barr all of Lorain and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Evelyn Stewart and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be no visitation and services will be private. The Reverend Arnold R. Fleagle, senior pastor at Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.

David would like to extend a "special" thank you to all of the staff members at Amherst Manor for the care and compassion given to Carolyn during her stay on the third floor.
