Eduardo Colon Flores, 90, Served in the US Army in World War II

Eduardo was born October 13, 1923 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain in 2002.
He served in the US Army in World War II, earning the American Theater Service Metal and the World War II Victory Metal
Eduardo was a member of The Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostal Asamblea de Dios, Lorain. He was a loving father and grandfather. Eduardo enjoyed, telling stories, reading The Bible and listening to Christian Music. Eduardo was generous, helping all who were in need. He loved his grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his daughters Lydia Gonzalez, Bernamin Rodriguez, Maria Santiago, Teresa Rodriguez, Gladys Sosa, Nita Nunez and Minerva Salas, all of Lorain also Juana Roman and Margarita Lopez, both of Chicago; sons Isidro Colon, of San Lorenzo and Samuel E. Colon, of Lorain; 48 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Celedonia Luna; his parents Isidro Colon and Luisa Flores; daughter Sixta Claudio; sisters Sofia Colon, Bonifacia Colon and Petrona Colon; brothers Juan Colon and Angel Colon
His family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostal Asamblea de Dios, 301 West 22nd St., Lorain. His funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the church. Reverend Luis Cintron, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, where the Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20 Lorain will conduct military honors.
