Genoveve Adorno, 64, Owned & Operated Genny's Huggables

She was born August 3, 1949 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1952. Genny graduated from Admiral King High School 1968.
Genny retired for Variety Vending Company, South Amherst, working alongside her husband for 22 years. She owned and operated a Genny’s Huggables Blankets made with love in South Amherst. She also had worked for Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon for many years.
She was a member of the Spanish Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Lorain. Genny enjoyed shopping, garage, consignment and antique stores. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 45 years William Adorno of Lorain; son, Bill (Rochelle) Adorno, Jr. of Lorain; daughter, Lizette (Jason) McGranor of Lorain; sister, Iris (Sam) Adorno of Lorain and Matilda Cruz of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Isolina (née Pujals) Rojas; brother, Heriberto Rojas and her sister, Aida Agosto.
Her family will receive friends Sunday, January 26 from 4 PM until time of her funeral service at 7 PM. in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain.
