Roberto B. Arroyo, 74, Loved Music and Gardening

He was born January 6, 1940 in Caguas, Puerto Rico and had resided in Lorain most of his life.
Roberto worked as a truck driver and welder for the Lake Terminal Railroad in Lorain for 22 years retiring in 1993.His co-workers nicknamed him My Son since his father Alejio was working for the railroad at the same time.
Roberto loved music, gardening, fishing, dominoes and playing cards. He was a handyman around the house.
He is survived by his wife and caregiver of 45 years Carmen (nee Flores), daughters Deana (Adel) Hajali of Lorain and Carmen (Mitchell) Lopez of Washington, DC, sons Samuel Morales, Luis (Valerie) Morales and Richard (Jayne) Morales, all of Lorain, Miguel (Charlene) Morales of Virginia and Jose Morales of Lorain, 16 grandchildren , 20 great grandchildren, siblings Feliciano Arroyo and Antonio (Lucy) Arroyo, all of Michigan, Maria Esther (Miguel) Arroyo and Carmelo Luis (Theresa) Arroyo all of Puerto Rico, Domingo (Ida) Arroyo of Florida, Maria (William) La Luz and Angel (Merita) Arroyo and Mary Luz Baez all of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his son David Martinez, Jr, parents Alejio Martinez-Arroyo and Demetria (nee Baez) and sister Carmen Vega.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 12:00 pm at the International House of Praise Church, 4321 Elyria Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Gilbert Silva, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
