Amelia Soto, 89, Will be Dearly Missed

She was born June 26, 1924 in Yauco, Puerto Rico. She moved to Lorain in 1955 from Puerto Rico.
Amelia was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Lorain and formerly an active member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. Where she was a member of the women’s club, Legion of Mary, Crusillo Movement and visited the sick. She volunteered cooking and maintained the priest’s vestments.
She will be dearly missed her sons Irving (Josephine) Soto, Oscar Soto and George Soto all of Lorain and Angel Jimenez of Dallas, Texas; daughters Nilda (Noel) Perez of West New York, New Jersey and Sylvia (Hector) Medina of Lorain; 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
Amelia was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Ismael S. Morales her son Ismael Soto, Jr.
Friends may call Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Her family will also receive friend Friday from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Mass of the Cristian Burial in Sacred heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Rev. Father John C. Retar, Pastor of St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Lorain will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
