James W. Brady, 77, U.S. Navy Veteran

He was born January 5, 1937 in Coalport, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain most of his life.
Jim served with the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked at both the Lorain Ford Plant and Avon Lake Truck Plant as the Paint Department Manager before retiring.
Jim was a member of the American Legion Post #118 in Amherst where he took care of the grounds and Ely Masonic Lodge #424 of Vermilion. He enjoyed the outdoors, trout fishing and attending his grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Janice Brady (nee Kiska), children James (Deborah) Brady of Avon Lake, Jerry (Diane) Brady of Lorain and Marsha Caldwell of Clearfield, PA, grandchildren Nicholas and Zachary Brady, Jason (Tiffany) Brady and Jeffery and James Brady and Shoalin Caldwell-Stibitz and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Mary Giles (nee Black).
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am until 2:00pmat the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain where the Ely Masonic Lodge #424 will conduct a masonic service Saturday at 1:30 pm. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 2:00pm in the funeral home followed by military prayer services by the Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard. Cremation will follow.
