David M. Lesiecki, 47, �Super Dave�
David M. Lesiecki, 47, of Lorain, died Monday March 3, 2014 at his home. He was born March 25, 1966 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain resident. Dave graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1984. He worked as an assembler at the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant and the Avon Lake Truck Plant for almost 20 years and was known on his shift as Super Dave.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain, the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain and the St. Stanislaus Holy Name Society.
Dave was a lifelong super modified racing fan and his passion was being with his sons as they raced in events. He was president of the Northwest Ohio Quarter Midget Racing Association, the Ft Wayne Rumble Series Quarter Midget Director and a member of the Midwest Super Modified Association.
Dave cut grass for family and friends and enjoyed lending a hand to someone who needed help with something.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Diana M. Lesiecki (nee Garcia), sons A.J. Lesiecki, a student at the University of Toledo and Jonathon Lesiecki at home, mother Mary Lou Lesiecki (nee Mitro) of Lorain, brothers Richard (Karen) Lesiecki of Rocky River and Thomas (Jane) Lesiecki of Amherst Twp and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Lesiecki on July 27, 2009.
The family will receive friends Thursday 3-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Richard Hudak, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
