James J. Kiral, 95, Enjoyed Maintaining His Garden & Home
James J. Kiral, 95, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 in Mercy New Life Hospice Center, Lorain following a brief illness.
He was born April 29, 1918 in Akron, Ohio. James came to Sheffield Township as a child. He retired in 1980 from the U. S. Steel Lorain Works. He worked there for 35 years. James enjoyed maintaining his garden and home.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 69 years Bessie E. (née Bandagski) Kiral of Lorain his daughter Linda L. Batozynski of Lorain.
James was preceded in death by his son James Kiral, Jr. in 1974; parents James and Ann (née Fox) Kiral and a sister Margaret Ammons.
His family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st St., South Lorain. His funeral will be Thursday with closing prayers in the funeral home at 10 AM then Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Homewood Drive and Grove Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father John C. Retar, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
