Anna T. Hladik, 93, Member of the Church of St. Peter

She was born May 20, 1920 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Anna attended Holy Trinity School and graduated from Lorain High School. She worked at Moen in Elyria as an assembler before retiring. Prior to that, she worked at Reidy-Scanlan Furniture in Lorain in housekeeping and display.
She was a member of the Church of St. Peter and the former St. John Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, all in Lorain. She enjoyed gardening, yard work and cooking.
She is survived by her children Patricia (Kenneth) Zapolski, Philip D. Hladik, Jr and Robert D. (Angela) Hladik, all of Lorain, grandchildren Ken Zapolski, Julie (Matt) Hayden, Brian (Nicole) Zapolski and Melissa (Pete) Greller, great grandchildren Ava and Halle Zapolski, Drew Hayden, Olivia Zapolski, Kylie, Lilyanne, Reese and Joe Greller. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip D. Hladik, Sr on July 9, 1991, son Alan Hladik, daughter Carolyn Hladik, parents John and Mary Novak (nee Metro), sisters Mary, Helen and Margaret and brothers John and Richard Novak.
The family will receive friends Friday 10:00 am until the time of funeral mass at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Cremation will follow.
