Norma Iris Pardo (Maldonado), 68, Loved Cooking, Bingo, and Horse Races

She was born March 13, 1947 in Cataño Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Norma moved to Lorain in 1995 from Manhattan, New York where she lived since coming to the United States in 1964.
Norma retired in 2009 as a housekeeper for Holiday Inn, Westlake. She worked there for 7 years. Before that she worked for Vectron Deburring in Elyria for 6 Years. In Manhattan she worked as a prep cook.
Norma was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She has a strong work ethic. She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and horse races. Norma loved being with her family especially her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 48 years George W. Pardo of Lorain, sons Heriberto Eddie Pardo of Long Island, New York and George W. Pardo, Jr. of Lorain; her daughter Maria D. Pardo of Wooster; her sister Lillian Maldonado of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Maria (née Garcia) Maldonado; brothers Jose and Francisco Maldonado and her sisters Elba and Maritza Maldonado.
Services for Norma will be Wednesday, March 19th with visitation at 8:30 AM until time of 9:30 AM Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18th, from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain.
