Ida Rodgers, 91, Loved to Cook

Photo of Ida Rodgers Ida Rodgers, 91, (nee Nyarges) of Sunbury, formerly of Lorain passed away peacefully March 29, 2014 at the Country View Nursing Home in Sunbury.

Ida was born March 20,1923 to Michael and Rose (nee Papp) Nyarges in Lorain. She was the youngest of nine children.

She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed sharing good news with others about God's kingdom. She also enjoyed attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall while her health permitted.

She loved to cook. Her Hungarian background lent itself to wonderful meals: a favorite was her chicken paprikash and stuffed cabbage.

She is survived by daughters. Rita Kerr of Ashland, Dolores (Richard) Smith of Centerburg, stepson Charles (Lois) Rodgers of Ashland, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry Rodgers, son-in-law Dennis Kerr and stepson Arthur Rodgers.

Memorial Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 2949 N County Rd 605, Sunbury, Ohio on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. Mr. Warren Guest will officiate.

Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
