John W. Lawlah, 65, A Vietnam Veteran

He was born on March 13, 1949 in Elbert, WVa, the son of the late John W. and Thelma G. (nee Flood) Lawlah, Sr. He graduated from Gary High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He earned the National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Medal with eight bronze stars, Viernam Campaign Medal with 60 Device.
Mr. Lawlah worked as a maintenance manager with the US Postal Service Cleveland. He enjoyed collecting and traveling.
He is survived by is daughters Tracy Lawlah of Dayton, Thelma Lawlah of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren, Aryel, Dijion and Samaritan, sisters Eguretha (Reginald) Adams and Linda Seals both of Cleveland, nieces and nephews, Victor Shelton, Tariqah Adams, Amber Seals, step daughters Felita and Felicia, former wives Jaqueline and Faye.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife Lena.
Graveside were held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 9:30 in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman with full military honors.
