David Lee Machovina, 60, Loved The Game of Golf

Born in Elyria, he had resided in North Ridgeville until moving to Elyria in 1984.

He graduated from North Ridgeville High School class of 1972 and earned an Associate Degree in Engineering from Lorain County Community College.

He was an Eagle Scout and continued to be active in Scouting with his daughter by volunteering with Girl Scouts for the past 18 years. Dave loved the game of golf and served as the Secretary of St. Peter Golf League for the past 30 years.
He was a Senior Designer at Ridge Tool Company in Elyria, where he worked for the past 32 years.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Pamela (nee Gast), his daughter, Allie of Elyria, and two sisters, Dona (Michael) Thomas of Cox’s Creek, Kentucky and Margaret Berthold of St. Louis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen (nee Lee) Machovina, and three brothers, Joseph, Ronnie and Chuckie.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church 35777 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
