Robert D. Kozloski, 73, U.S. Army Veteran

He was born in Lorain on September 7, 1940. A long-time resident of Lorain, he had lived in Elyria since 1977.
Bob was a graduate of Lorain High School and went on to serve in the United States Army where he fulfilled duty assignments as a Specialist 4 attached to the USA Signal Service Unit in Frankfurt, Germany. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal
Mr. Kozloski was employed as a telecommunications engineer for the National Cash Register Company and, most recently, with the American Greetings Corporation in Cleveland. His career found him working on a multitude of projects with varying applications which included serving as a member of the creative team at American Greetings that developed the firm's Create-A-Card program.
He was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria; Bob was a Past Monarch for the El Rey Grotto as well as a member of both Lagrange Lodge # 399 of the Free and Accepted Masons and the United Polish Club of Elyria.
He enjoyed a variety of interests including computers, HO gauge model railroading, beekeeping, and gardening. In addition, he was regarded as a talented cook who enjoyed winemaking and canning in his free time.
He is survived by daughters Halle Kozloski-Reasoner (William) of Elyria and Sondra Sony Wilkinson (Richard) residing in Glendale, Arizona. He also leaves grandchildren Jordan Ashley Garbash, Jeffrey Robert Garbash, Megan Reasoner, Michael Reasoner, Michael Jacob Wilkinson, Noah Robert Wilkinson, Lucas Richard Wilkinson, and great grandson James Dean Burgess.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary (nee Jakuboski)Kozloski, by brothers Louis in 1995, Vincent in 2003, and Henry Hank Kozloski in 2013, and by his sister Christine Simonovich also in 2013.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 22nd from 4 until 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will begin Wednesday April 23rd at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria. The Reverend Frank P. Kosem, pastor of the church will officiate. Military honors will be conducted immediately following the church service by the officers and members of VFW Post # 1079 in Elyria.
