Janet Lindo, 79, Active Girl Scout Leader
Janet C. Lindo (nee Ford), age 79, of Eaton Township passed away Wednesday April 30, 2014 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Cleveland and had resided in Eaton Township the past 58 years.
Mrs. Lindo worked as a Deli Manager for Fisher Fazio’s Grocery Store for many years.
She enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing, traveling the US and being with her family. Many years ago she was active as a Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Lindo was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Columbia Station.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Stanley Lindo Sr., three daughters, Doreen (Rod) Shrader of Columbia Station, Janet (Jeff) Bier of North Ridgeville, Jean (Ray) Anthony of Columbia Station, two sons, , and Stanley (Missy) Lindo Jr. of Eaton Township, Steven (Laura Murray) Lindo of North Ridgeville, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Elizabeth Defrancesco of Lyndhurst and Celia Siek of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Janet Ford and brother-in-laws, Ernie Defrancesco and Jack Siek.
The family will receive friends’ 5-8 PM Friday at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held 12:15 PM Saturday followed by 1 PM Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church 25801 Royalton Road, Columbia Station, Reverend Charles Ryba, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Royalton Road Cemetery.
