Ann E. Sullivan, 93, Teacher of Ceramics and the Art of Painting on China & Porcelain

She was formerly employed by the Lorain Stove Works, Western Automatic, Mascon Toy Company, and the Ted Jacobs Clothing Store. Most recently, she had been self-employed as the operator of an art studio where she taught ceramics and the art of painting on china and porcelain. She retired in 2001.
Mrs. Sullivan was a member of the China and Porcelain Painting Artists Organization as well as the World Organization of Artists.
She is survived by her sister Josephine Babcock, by her nephew Attorney Gregg Babcock (Monica), by her niece Jacci Schueller (Jack), by her great nephew Aaron Babcock, and by her great niece Kaitlin Schueller,
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Sullivan in 2007, and by her parents Steve and Mary (nee Matejovic) Yurkovic.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Reverend Craig Hovanec, pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Peter presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Memorials in her memory are suggested to either the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, OH 44053, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
