Dale Grasse, 66, Loving Husband

Mr. Grasse was born in Lorain, Ohio on March 18, 1948, the son of the late Robert William and Helen (nee Shullick) Grasse. He lived in the Grafton, Elyria and Lorain areas.
He was a graduate of Midview High School, Class of 1967. He served in the United States Marine Corp for 7 years and is a Vietnam War Veteran. Dale worked at the Lorain Steel Plant for 35 years as an electrician. After his retirement from the Lorain Steel Plant in 2008, he and his loving wife, Debbie, moved to Mesa, Arizona. He was an active member of the Local 1104 Steelworker’s Union, a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 27 years and a member of the Mission Community Church in Gilbert, Arizona.
Mr. Grasse enjoyed watching boxing, baseball and football games, boating on Lake Erie, fishing, teaching Debbie, his children, his grandson and his nephews to fish, golfing in Arizona year round with Debbie, shooting pool on the leagues in the Resort where he and Debbie live in Arizona, attending spring training games for the Cleveland Indians, going to the Phoenix Open Golf Tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona, traveling & exploring Arizona with Debbie, their nephews and all who visited them after their retirement. Dale and Debbie shared many great times at Lake Saguaro, Dale’s favorite place in Arizona. Dale and Debbie enjoyed dining at the restaurant, boating, fishing, swimming and picnicking with many friends & family on Lake Saquaro.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years Debbie Grasse (nee Masterson), his twin sister Gayle (Harold) Davis of Columbia Station, sister Sandra (Lee) MacDonald of Port St. Lucie, Florida, brother Robert Grasse of Salem, Virginia, son Charles W. (Mindy) Grasse I of Grafton, son Bryan Grasse of Grafton, daughter Victoria Grasse of Grafton, step daughter Amy Anello of Cleveland, grandchildren Ashleigh Hobbs and Charles William Grasse II of Grafton, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052. The Memorial Service will be followed by the Military Honors provided by the United States Marine Corp Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, Debbie has asked that all donations be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 2020 Eastwoodside Court, Gilbert, Arizona 85297 in memory of Dale A Grasse.
