Albert Lee Skaggs, 81, U.S. Navy Veteran

Photo of Albert Lee Skaggs Albert Lee Skaggs, age 81 of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday June 16, 2014, in the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum SC.

He was born September 9, 1932 in Ansted, WV. Mr. Skaggs resided in Boiling Springs since 2000, moving from Lorain where he lived for 25 years.

Mr. Skaggs was a member of the US Navy during the Korean War.

He worked as an Inspector for Ford Motor Co. in Lorain, and belongs to the UAW Retired Workers. He attended Tower Baptist Church while living in Lorain, and currently belongs to Gateway Baptist Church in Boiling Springs. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a sister Kathleen Mangus of MI, sisters-in-law Janice, and Julie Skaggs, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linnie Lee Skaggs in 2009, and brothers Allen, Reginald, and Edward Skaggs, along with his parents Howard and Verna Skaggs.

Friends may call Saturday June 21, 2014 from 10 am till time of service at 12 noon in Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Pastor Gary Dorsey will officiate. Entombment with military honors will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
