Paul E. Driscol, 80, 1st Lieutenant US Air Force Veteran

Mr. Driscol was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 2, 1934, the son of the late Paul E. and Elizabeth (nee Engle) Driscol. He was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1952 and DePauw University with a bachelors degree in business administration.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force; attaining the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
Mr. Driscol was president of the Driscol Music Company in Lorain, beginning his career at the music store in 1958.
He was a board member of Case Western University Skin Cancer Research Institute and the Palace Theater. He was a member of the Elks Club and Kiwanis Club. He was a chairman of both the Cornerstone United Methodist Church Endowment Fund and Lakeland Health Care Corporation 2008- present. He was on the Lorain Community Hospital Board, Medical Affairs Committee, Finance Committee and received the Outstanding service award. He served as President for the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at DePauw. Mr. Driscol was a longtime member and leader of the United Methodist Church of Lorain.
He loved spending time with his family, playing golf, listening to jazz music, working crossword puzzles , and watching the Cleveland sports teams. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
Mr. Driscol is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kay Driscol (nee Farr), daughters Nancy L. (Greg) Cornwell, of Geneva, IL, Kelly L Driscol of Lorain, son David A. (Heidi) Driscol of East Grand Rapids, MI, grandchildren Amanda Pfeiffer (Sean), David Cornwell, Adam Cornwell, Blake Driscol, Alec Driscol, Claire Driscol, sister Nancy L Gardner of Cary, NC, brothers Tom E. (Barbara) Driscol of Moreland Hills, Ted D. (Karen) Driscol of Elyria, and David A Driscol of Sheffield Lake. Proceeded in death by his sister Carol Jean. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 with Rev. Lisa Morrison, associate pastor of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, officiating.
