Mary Ellen Wilke, 98, A Masters Degree holder in Chemistry who loved her family.
Mary Ellen Wilke (nee: Bauman), age 98, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 5, 2014.
She graduated from Bowling Green with a Bachelor in Chemistry and subsequently she earned a
Masters Degree from Case Western Reserve. She then worked for three years with Strong Cobb Research Laboratory in Cleveland. Following her marriage in 1943 she devoted her life to her
family.
She is survived by her daughter Dr. Mary C. Vitter; sons, Dr. William S. Wilke, Dr. Richard L. Wilke, James B. Wilke, M.S. and Dr. Charles M. Wilke; nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard M. Wilke in 2008. Funeral Services are private.
