Joseph Przytulski, 91, US Navy Veteran & Loving Grandfather

He was born March 19, 1923 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since the early 1950’s.
Joseph served with the US Navy Seabees during World War II in the Aleutian and Philippine Islands. He was awarded the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Pacific Theater Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon and Good Conduct Ribbon.
He worked for Thew Shovel as a traveling service mechanic and for Operating Engineers Local #18 of
Cleveland.
Joseph was a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain and enjoyed attending church functions
such as the annual picnic where he could dance to polka music.
Joseph enjoyed attending his great granddaughters sporting events, fishing, gardening, and traveling
and casino trips. He was a member of American Legion #118 in Amherst and a life member of VFW Post #1079 in Elyria.
He is survived by his sons Joseph J. Przytulski, Jr and Chuck Przytulski, both of Lorain, granddaughter Michelle (Mike) Kachure, great granddaughters Lauren, Samantha and Abby Kachure of Lorain, grandson Mike Przytulski (Linda) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, step great grandchildren Crystal (Rob) Stipe and Curtis (Amber) Hammett and step great great grandchildren Jonathan Stipe and Ethan and Kinsley Hammett. He was preceded in death by his wife Regina Przytulski (nee Swietsavage), daughter Mary Ann Przytulski, parents Charles and Delia Przytulski (nee Kovaleski) and brothers Walter and Jerome Przytulski.
The family will receive friends Monday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Edward Luca will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain where the Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
