Mark Krieg, 60, Beloved son and brother
Mark Elliott Krieg, 60, of Vermilion entered into eternal peace on Thursday, August 7, 2014 after a long illness.He was born in Lorain at the St. Joseph's Hospital on February 15, 1954. Mark was a graduate of Lorain High School, class of 1972 and worked as a carpet/tile installer by trade until he became to ill to continue. His hobbies include fishing and caring for his beloved cats. He also had a talent with engines and anything mechanical.
Mark is survived by his mother Virginia Krieg of Marathon, FL, sisters Randi Mealey of Lorain, Deborah Zahorec of Amherst, brothers Eric (Beatrice) Krieg of Lorain, and Matthew Krieg of Marathon, FL. He is also survived by his nieces Airyn (Alex) Mealey-Hunter of Lorain, Lauren Zahorec of New York City, NY as well as nephews Michael Mealey, Christopher Krieg both of Lorain and Andrew (Ryan) Krieg of Vermilion. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father Harvey Krieg in 2002, brother Jeffrey in 1958 and brother-in-law Michael Mealey in 2011.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. A Celebration of Mark's Life will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
