Fred Ritenauer, 58, Loving Father and Husband

He was born February 21, 1956 In Lorain, and remained a lifelong resident. Fred worked at U.S. Steel, was General Manager of Rite-Beverage and General Manager of Emerald Valley Country Club.
Fred was a member of the Church of St. Peter. He graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1974.
Fred served the city of Lorain as Councilman for 4 years, was a member of the Lorain Elks Club, Emerald Valley Browns Boosters, was a die hard Cleveland Sports fan enjoying the Cavs and Indians but living the Cleveland Browns during the football season. Fred enjoyed life especially spending time with his family and friends.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lori (nee Parobek), two loving children Jessica and Freddy; brothers John of Lorain, Scott (Lisa) of Peninsula, and Robert of Lorain, and sisters Lisa Given of Lorain, and Tami Dziak of Lorain, along with 18 nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred M. Ritenauer in 1988 and Rosemary H (Thesing) Ritenauer in 2009, and a brother Mark D. Ritenauer in 2002.
Friends may call Friday August 15, 2014 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. in Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Rd., Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday August 16, 2014 at 10 A.M. in the church. Rev. Greg Sellers will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
