Richard L. Paffume, 69, U.S. Army Veteran

Mr. Paffume was born in Lorain on January 24, 1945, the son of the late Anthony J. and Mildred R (nee Baker) Paffume. He attended Lorain City Schools and graduated from Admiral King High School in 1963. He was very active in Admiral King sports, playing football, baseball, and basketball ball.
From 1965-1967, He served in the U.S. Army including one tour in Vietnam.
Mr. Paffume worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Lorain and retired in 1992.
He was a member of the Amvets Post 47 and enjoyed bowling and playing golf having scored at least two hole-in-ones. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends he had at the Amvets.
Mr. Paffume is survived by sisters Sandra (Ed) Fritsch, Karen (Jack) Shawver all of Lorain, nephews Eddie Fritsch, Shawn Cruz, Brandon Cruz and Ryan Shawver.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
