Violet M. Zunich, 85, Enjoyed Cooking & Gardening

Violet was born April 21, 1929 in Sharon, Pennsylvania and had resided in the Amherst & Lorain areas since 1955.

Violet graduated from Sharon High School in Sharon, PA in 1947.
She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Lorain where she sang in the church choir, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Mother’s Club and Circle of Serbian Sisters.

Violet enjoyed cooking, entertaining, flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Colony Club.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Mitchell Zunich, children Mitch Zunich of Bay Village and Rob Zunich (Eva) of Avon Lake, grandchildren Neven and Dane Zunich, both of Bay Village and Rada and Mila Zunich, both of Avon Lake. She was preceded in death by a baby son Nick Zunich in 1959, parents Paul and Pauline Kobac (nee Gregor) and brother Bernard Kobac.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Additional viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9 am – 10 am at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 2210 E. 33rd St, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am in the church with the Rev. Aleksa Pavichevich officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
