Jean Irene (Buckosh) Sklarek, 80, Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother

She was born in Lorain on January 18, 1934 and graduated from Clearview High School in 1951. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
During her life Jean worked as a manager of the Forest Hills Golf Course clubhouse, the Hungarian Young Men’s Club, and the St. Lads Club. She raised five children and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and beloved dogs. Jean was a great cook and particularly enjoyed family picnics. She amassed more Christmas decorations than most stores have and her house was beautiful during the holidays. Over several years she attended hundreds of athletic events to cheer on her children and grandchildren as well as travelling coast to coast following her husband’s fast-pitch softball career. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she will be missed by all.
Jean is survived by her husband, Frank (Slim) Sklarek, by sons, Rick Buckosh (Cindy) and Randy Buckosh (Debra Dixon), as well as daughters, Linda Rosalez (Luis), Rebecca Kelling (Tom), and Francine Ksenich (Howard). She also leaves her brother Richard Matos (Linda) and her sister Joyce Crossland (Richard), along with 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Irene Matos (nee Chonko) and by her first husband, George Buckosh in 1964.
