Violet R. Pavlich, 85, Devoted Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother

Photo of Violet R. Pavlich Violet R. Pavlich (nee Miller), 85, of Lorain, died Wednesday September 10, 2014 at her home after suffering from a Glioblastoma tumor for several months.

She was born January 5, 1929 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Violet was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed attending the kids school functions. She enjoyed the beauty of everything around her and helped her family, friends and neighbors whenever they needed anything. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and visiting Lakeview Park and the rose garden.
Violet was a member of the former St. Vitus Catholic Church in Lorain and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Lorain.

She is survived by her children Kathy Ferenec (Michael) of Lorain, Keith Pavlich (Georgia) of Vermilion and Karin Kissel (Donald) of Lorain, grandchildren Missy Sheets (Joe) of Vermilion, Keith Pavlich Jr of Vermilion, Miranda Maynard (Eric) of Elyria and Matthew Ferenec of Lorain, great grandchildren Alexandra, Angela, Joey and Arika Sheets, Matt Ferenec, Nate Maynard, Amber Ferenec, Dilion Ferenec and Shaun and Keith Pavlich and expecting one great great grandchild in December. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Pavlich in 1998, parents Adelbert & Helen Miller (nee Verban), brother Adelbert Miller and sister Ruth Anne Carr.

The family will receive friends Sunday 3-7 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 2143 Homewood Dr, Lorain. The Rev. John Retar, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
