Alice Marie Kishman, 90, Will be Deeply Missed
Alice Marie Kishman, 90, (nee Flaherty) of Lorain passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Anchor Lodge Retirement Village.
Mrs. Kishman was born in Pittston, PA on May 15, 1924, the daughter of the late Patrick and Alice (nee Richards) Flaherty. She has been a Lorain resident since 1948.
She was a registered nurse having graduated from Misercordia School of Nursing in Manhattan, New York City, New York. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain.
Mrs. Kishman is survived by daughters Patricia (Richard) Doyle of Reedville Virginia, Judith (Frank-deceased) Cellozzi of Lorain, Deborah (Chuck) Sturgill of Reynoldsburg Ohio, Stephanie (Keith) Waters of Lorain, Rose (Fred) Reynolds of Lorain, son Michael (Karen) Kishman of Lorain, Daughter-in-Law Loretta Kishman of Lorain, many nieces and nephews, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a sister Roselyn Malgieri of Tuckahoe, NY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William E Kishman on February 7, 1988, and her son William "Billy" Kishman on August 13, 2014, sisters Helen Gavigan of Pennsylvania, Mary Moylan of Florida, Nancy Carroll of New York, and brother Patrick Flaherty of Pennsylvania.
Friends may call on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
On Thursday, September 25, 2014, prayer services will begin at 9:30 a.m. , at St. Mary Church, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. The church is located at the corner of 8th and Reid, in Lorain. The Rev. Daniel O. Divis, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
