Photo of Stanley C. Ketcham, Jr. Stanley C. Ketcham, Jr, 58, died suddenly on Saturday November 8, 2014 in the emergency room at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.

He was born March 8, 1956 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Stan graduated from Admiral King High School in Lorain in 1974. He went to work at US Steel in Lorain for a year and then joined the US Air Force where he served as a Military Policeman from 1975-1977. After his discharge from the military, Stan went back to work at the steel mill where he worked a total of 40 years and was scheduled to retire from Republic Steel at the end of this year.

Stan was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, going to Lakeview Park to watch the sunset, being outdoors and traveling.

He is survived by his companion Lois Dora of Lorain, brothers Richard Ketcham of Orange County, California and Daniel (Mary) Ketcham of Lorain and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley C. Ketcham, Sr and Mary C. Ketcham (nee Breno) and sister Elaine Marie Ketcham.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo- Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 am. The Rev. Daniel Divis, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain where the VFW Post #451 and American Legion #30, both of Lorain, will conduct military honors.
