Carolyn Franklin, 62, Enjoyed Cats and Flower Gardening
Carolyn Franklin (nee Combs), 62, of Lorain, died Thursday December 4, 2014 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.
She was born January 4, 1952 in Fourseam, Kentucky and had resided in Lorain most of her life. She attended Clearview Schools and graduated from Lorain Business College.
Carolyn was a member of Christian Life Church in Lorain where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed cats and flower gardening.
She is survived by her sisters Susan Shaw of Lorain and Brenda Costello of Vermilion and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Shelby and Mary Combs (nee Lumpkins), sister Judy Vance and niece Molly Kaszmetskie.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Wallace Justice, pastor of Christian Life Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
