Donald J. Szucs, 63, Avid Bass Fisherman

Photo of Donald J. Szucs Donald J. Szucs, 63 of Lorain, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at his home following a long illness.

Mr. Szucs was born in Berea on June 24, 1951, the son of the late Bernard J. and Ethel Marie (nee Gove) Szucs.

He was a graduate of both Berea High School and held a bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church Lorain, OH 44052.

Mr. Szucs was the retired Director of ESI Tech School in Lorain and had been employed by the Cleveland Business Association. He was an avid bass fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Dana Lynn (nee Newbrough) Szucs, sons Brian (Jessica Salata) Szucs, Chris Szucs all of Amherst, Christopher (Natasa Legg) of Powell, daughters, Marla Hall, Tiffaney (Jose Jr.) Gracia all of Lorain, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Davis, and a brother William Szucs.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 4- 8 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014 in the Church of the Redeemer, 647 Reid Ave., Lorain with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor the the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
