Joaquin B. Cruzado, 75, Hard Working Family Man

Photo of Joaquin B. Cruzado Joaquin B. Cruzado, 75, of Lorain, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Admiral's Pointe, Huron following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 25, 1939 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He moved to Lorain in 1951.

He graduated from Lorain High School in 1957. He served in the United States Army for ten years and worked as a letter carrier for the US Post Office for 20 years. Prior to that, he worked at the Lorain Works of National Tube Division of the U.S. Steel Corp for many years. He enjoyed preaching, walking, traveling and spending time with his family.

He was a great husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He was a member of Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer for 28 years. He was also a member of “Voices of God for the Nation” which had a radio spot on WJTV 1040 am for 15 years.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 27 years Bibiana Cruzado (née, Cruz), his sons Ron Dickinson of Amherst, Eric Cruzado Sheffield Lake and Joshua Cruzado of Lorain. Daughter Natalie Cruz of Lorain, granddaughter Julie Garcia of Lorain and seven other grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; brothers Harry and Roberto Cruzado and sisters Alery Turcus, Jacqueline Rentas, Susan (James) Burge and Gloria (Michael) Barash.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joaquin and Maria (née, Batista) Cruzado, Sr.; sister Maria M. Torres and brother Raymond Cruzado.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 18th at, La Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal “Ebenezer” 3660 Globe Ave, Lorain, beginning at 4:00pm. A “Celebration of Life” service will begin at 7:00pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, Dec. 19th at 10:00am. Pastor William Rios will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests memorial contributions to La Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer, 3660 Globe Ave, Lorain, Ohio 44055.
