Juanita J. Zvosec Carner, 84, Caring and Loving Homemaker
Juanita J. Zvosec Carner, 84, of Lorain passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at her home peacefully surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Carner was born in St. Louis, MO on May 28, 1930, the daughter of the late Werner Egon and Julia Elizabeth (nee Herner) Wiech. She was a graduate of Clearview High School in the class of 1948.
A devoted and active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, she served as assistant to the financial secretary and taught Sunday School for many years.
Mrs. Carnner was a caring and loving homemaker, caring for several elderly family members. She also worked at the former Pic-N-Pay in the produce department for many years, former Gray's Drug Store, and was an advocate for people who are deaf. She was also a member of the Weddettes Ladies Club and Zion Ladies Guild.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Carner is survived by her daughters Susan M Bungard, of Elyria, Michele L. (Ronald) Lear of Vermilion, son Robert E. (Sharon) Zvosec, Jr., of Sandusky, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers Larry W. (Barbara) Wiech of Lima, and Allen (Sally) Wiech, of Lorain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James V. Carner in 2007 and a brother Richard Wiech.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 10 am until 11 am in the Zion Lutheran Church, 5100 Ashland, Ave., Lorain, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am, with Rev. Gary Georgi, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
