Doris A. Dymiticuk, 76, Loved Traveling

Doris A. Dymiticuk, 76, of Lorain, died Monday December 29, 2014 at Mt Carmel St Anne Hospital in Westerville, Ohio.

She was born March 8, 1938 in Lorain and had lived in Lorain most of her life. She had moved to Reynoldsburg, Ohio to be near her niece and nephew this past year.

Doris graduated from Lorain High School with the 1956B class. She worked at Mason Toy in Lorain for 12 years as a steel stamper, then at the Spanmaster Division of JB Webb Co in Avon Lake as a secretary from 1968-1990 and as a secretary in the nursing administration office at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria from 1991-1999 before retiring.

Doris was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain and the church Marian Guild. She was a member of the Professional Secretaries International and the League of Women Voters.
She enjoyed traveling, crafts, cake decorating and photography.

Doris was predeceased by parents Joseph & Lena (nee Waszily) Dymiticuk and nephew Robert Underwood. She is survived by sister Alice Simms, Nephew; Ernest Underwood (Lisa), Nieces; Lisa Mishak (Jerry), Danette Windisch (Jared), Janelle Simms and four Great-Nephews and one Great-Great Nephew.

The family will receive friends Friday 4-7 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Richard Hudak, pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
