Eleanor L. Kopronica, 76, Enjoyed Spending Time With Family
Eleanor L. Kopronica (nee Maurer), 76, of Lorain, died Thursday January 1, 2015 in the intensive care unit at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a short illness.
She was born July 10, 1938 in Altoona, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Eleanor graduated from Lorain High School in 1956. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, reading, dancing and crocheting.
She is survived by her children Pam Monschein (Kevin), Tony Kopronica (Christy), Judy Wilson (Richard) and Dean Kopronica (Debbie), grandchildren Kyle and Brett Monschein, Anthony, Ashley, Crystal, Sage, Thomas, Veronica, Sean & Michael Holland, Dean Jr, Lisa and Matt, 8 great grandchildren and sisters Carol DeLeonardis, Janet Mamrak (John) and Barbara Miller, all of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence & Carrie Maurer (nee Orwick), brother William Maurer and sisters Marian Diveley and Sherry Banbury.
The family will receive friends Monday 4-7 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Additional viewing will be held Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Rd, Avon. Please meet at the A-Frame Chapel. Burial will follow.
