Louis E. Mixon Jr., 69, U.S. Navy Veteran

He was born August 12, 1945 in Elizabeth, NJ, and resided in this area for 27 years.

Louis worked as an electrical engineer for Arrow International for 20 years, retiring in 2013.

He was a US Navy veteran, and belonged to the Freemasons in New Jersey. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying traveling, hunting, fishing, and camping.

He is survived by his children Matthew Mixon of Elyria, Shannon Covitz of St. Petersburg, FL, and Cullen Mixon of Anchorage, AK, 3 grandchildren, 5 brothers and 2 sisters, and companion Jo Ann Niskey of Lorain.

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Mixon in 2005 and parents Louis and Edith Mixon.

Friends may call Saturday March 7, 2015 from 4 PM till time of Memorial Service at 5 PM in Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Pastor Norm Wagner will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 30 and VFW Post 451.
