Damaris Ortiz Zadamsky Shimer, 24, Loved the Outdoors

Photo of Damaris Ortiz Zadamsky Shimer Damaris "Dee" Ortiz Zadamsky Shimer, 24, of Lorain passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2015.

Damaris was born in Lorain on February 6, 1991. She was a graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School; she was a member of the R.O.T.C. and played basketball. She attended Akron University and Ohio Business College. She loved the out of doors and made her living as a landscaper/groundskeeper.

She loved children, baking, skateboarding, cars and tattoos. She will be remembered for her love of her family and friends.

Damaris is survived by her mother Maria L. Ortiz of Lorain, sisters, Karrie M Shimer, Trisha L. Molina both of Lorain; Julie A. (Dave) Huhn of Sheffield Lake, Naomi M Gonzalez of Florwhite, FL, brothers Jose C. Gonzalez, Carlos A Gonzalez, Andrew C Ortiz, Terry J. Hasan, Rashaown M. Ortiz all of Lorain, nieces and nephews, Shayla R. Kuhn, Ron A Rupert, Alexis D. Shimer, Jose C. Gonzalez III, Jordan A Schuster, Carlos J. Gonzalez, Ilene A. Gonzalez, Ilena E. Gonzalez, David A. Gonzalez, Alayna L. Gonzalez, Rand Panchak, Jeffery Panchak, Michael Panchak, a niece Shatris A. Molina, many aunts, uncles and the Zadamsky family in Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her foster parents Mark P. Shimer and Patricia M. Zadamsky.

A Celebration of her Life is being planned and wil be announced later.

The Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals is handling the arrangements.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray the cost of funeral services.
