Denise M. Kosakowski, 58, Enjoyed casino trips, cooking, baking and her pet dog Roxi

Photo of Denise M. Kosakowski Denise M. Kosakowski (nee Miller), 58, of Lorain, died Tuesday May 5, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a brief illness.
She was born November 18, 1956 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Denise graduated from Lorain High School in 1974 and attended Bowling Green State University where she majored in Accounting and Business Pre-Law. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ashland College.
Denise worked in the commercial loan division at Lorain National Bank for over 25 years. Prior to that, she worked for 10 years in the Community Development Department for the city of Lorain.
She was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain and enjoyed casino trips, cooking, baking and her pet dog Roxi. She would do anything to help her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years John V. Kosakowski, son Jonathan Kosakowski of Columbus, sister Cathy Miller (Moh Kussem) of Louisville, KY and brother Todd Miller (Yesi) of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents John R. “Sonny” Miller and Catherine A. “Cookie” Miller (nee Mamrak) and niece Rochelle Bennett.
The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Cremation will follow. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Guadalupe Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, 555 N Ridge Rd, Lorain. (Please meet at the cemetery) The Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain, will officiate. Inurnment in the mausoleum will follow.
