Mary E. Myers, 89, Enjoyed Solving Crossword Puzzles

Born in Canton on September 23, 1925 to Albert and Anna (nee Vitak) Klingaman, Mary was a graduate of St. John’s High School; she married Carl Myers on October 1, 1943.
After learning to drive at the age of fifty, she worked in a variety of office positions including Finney’s Drug Store and Rolando’s Restaurant. Mary’s hobbies included solving crossword puzzles as well as activity in a variety of card clubs. Following retirement, Mary & Carl enjoyed their many trips to Myrtle Beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Myers in 2010, sisters Dorothy Hershberger and Margaret Beebe, and by brothers: Robert and Paul Klingaman. Mary is survived by her four children Michael (Kathy) Myers of Acworth Georgia, Bruce (Jane) Myers of Scottsdale, Arizona, Suzanne (Rick) Roman of Canton, and Dennis Denny (JoAnn) Myers of Lorain Ohio. She also leaves grandchildren Brian (Allison) Myers, Rachel (Roger) Tipton, Stacey (Phil) Goldie, Ryan and Sarah Roman, Melissa (Chris) Bauer, and Nicole Myers along with great-grandchildren Kylie and Cade Myers, Henry and Jack Tipton and Caitlin and Charlotte Goldie. Additional survivors include her brother Lawrence Klingaman of Florida along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton with The Very Reverend Ronald M. Klingler officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call one half hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
