Nellie M. Harper, 66, Head of Production at Suzin L Chocolatier
Nellie Mae Harper (nee Lemons-Holloway), age 66, of North Ridgeville, passed away Saturday December 19, 2015 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a long illness.
She was born in Rockwood, TN, and had resided in N. Ridgeville the past 13 years after moving from Elyria where she had lived most of her life.
Nellie Mae worked for Suzin L Chocolatier, Elyria where she was in charge of production for the past 8 years, she previously was the Bakery Manager at Convenient Food Mart on Cleveland St. in Elyria.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, but most of all just being a Nana. She also enjoyed being active with the Lorain County Historical Society.
Surviving are her husband of 16 years, Robert L., daughters, Alisha Blaylock and Angel (Matthew) Meade, both of Grafton, sons Jim Blaylock of Elyria and Beryl (Tami) Blaylock of Spencer, stepsons Robert (Diane) Harper of LaGrange, Scott (Lisa) Harper of Brunswick, Chris Harper of Westlake, stepdaughter, Lynn (Dan) Wise of Elyria, 19 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers Jim (Sherrie) Lemons of Grandview, TN, David Lemons of Spencer and Don Lemons of Lorain, sisters Donna Woodard of Spring City, TN and Diane Allen of Elyria and her stepmother Valera Lemons of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her father, Barnett Lemons, mother, Maggie Ruth Miller, stepfather, Howard Miller and brother, Barnett "Barney" Lemons.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm until time of services at 8:30 pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville. A graveside service will be held 10 AM Wednesday in Nova Cemetery.
