Marjorie Bratovich, 87, Enjoyed Traveling and Playing Cards
Marjorie Bratovich, (née Nowakowski), of Lorain, 87 passed away surrounded by family on January 24, 2016 after a lengthy illness.Born December 4, 1928 of Joseph and Minnie (née Miezejewski) Nowakowski in Lorain. She lived in Lorain until June 29, 1963 when she married John Bratovich (deceased). She moved to Cleveland and was a teacher in East Cleveland schools. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in her retirement and relocated to Villa Maria Retirement Apartments in Pennsylvania 10 years ago where she enjoyed fellowship with other retirees.
She earned a degree in teaching from Kent State University and Masters of economics from University of Delaware. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and playing cards. She was a devout catholic.
She will be deeply missed by her children Joseph (Maritza) Bratovich of Amherst and doctor Mary (John) Toth of Lake Milton, her sister Jean Poplar of Marysville, Washington and grandchildren Jennifer Toth of Ravenna, Stephanie Toth of Harrisonbug, Virginia, Melinda Toth of Lake Milton, Brianna Bratovich, Brandon Bratovich, Brooke Bratovich all of Amherst.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband John Bratovich; her parents and a brother Joseph Nowakowski.
Her family will receive friends Wednesday, January 27 from 9 until time of her funeral mass at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Whitehaven Park Cemetery, Mayfield at a later date.
