James H. Baker, Jr., 80, Enjoyed Fishing, Hunting and Bowling
James H. Baker, Jr., 80, of Lorain passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a long illness.Mr. Baker was born in Lorain on May 19, 1935, the son of the late James H. and Evelyn Marie (nee Koch) d Baker, Sr. He was a 1953 graduate of Lorain High School and he had attended the former Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church.
He worked with the family business, The Ravenna Casket Company in Lorain until its closure in the 1970's.
Mr. Baker was formerly a member of the F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.
He is survived by daughters Darlene L. (David) Daugherty of Swanton, Michele A Raddeman of Tucson, Arizona, sons John J. Baker of Warren, MI, Michael A (Kortney) Baker, of New Franklin, grandchildren: Sean Daugherty, April Daugherty, Tanina Walsh, Tonya Baker, John Baker, Jr., Michelle Eldridge, Christopher Spencer, Bethany Baker, Timothy Baker, Amanda Tedesco, Lawrence Gonzales, Dennis Raddeman, Rogan Baker, Merrik Baker, 6 great grandchildren (two more on the way) and a brother Robert Baker of Lorain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul E. Baker in 2011.
