Gail Roule, 78, Enjoyed Attending Grandchildren's Sporting Events

Photo of Gail Roule Gail Roule (nee Lowden), 78, of Lorain, died Sunday March 6, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 16, 1937 in California, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since 1962.

Gail worked for Lorain City Schools for over 20 years as an Administrative Assistant at Longfellow Elementary School, Southview High School and Admiral King High School before retiring. She also was an Independent Sales Representative for Queensway to Fashion clothing.

Gail was a member of the former Delaware Avenue Methodist Church in Lorain and the Leah Circle of the church. She was a member of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church and the Lakeland Women’s Club. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, playing cards, cooking, baking and her dog.

Gail was a longtime dialysis patient and her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Fresenius Medical Care in Amherst for the care they showed Gail throughout her treatment.

She is survived by her children: Richard “Scott” Roule (Susan Zimmerman) of Lorain, Baron Roule (Christine) of Amherst and Heather Roule (Stephone Thomas) of Lorain; grandchildren Sally, Spencer, Ricky, Jake, Sydney, Branson, Rileigh and Timmy and brother Glenn Lowden (Sharan) of Charleroi, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Richard T. “Dick” Roule on May 18, 2007, parents John D. & Mary Gladys Lowden (nee Wright) and brother Jack Lowden.

The family will receive friends Wednesday March 9th from 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Additional viewing will be Thursday March 10th from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel with Rev. Chuck Boals, chaplain of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
