Teresa Alick, 78, Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother
Teresa Alick (nee Carrasquillo), 78, of Lorain, died Tuesday April 26, 2016 at O’Neill Health Care Center in North Ridgeville after a long illness.
She was born October 15, 1937 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico and had resided in Lorain since 1972.
Teresa was a babysitter in her home for many young children. She was a member of the former Principe de Paz Lutheran Church in Lorain. She loved her family dearly and was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, flower and vegetable gardening, traveling, watching her favorite television shows and socializing.
She is survived by her children: Luis Conde (Gloria) of Lorain, Arlene Thomas (Tony) of Lorain and Ivette Plaza (Esteban, Jr) of Vacaville, California; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister Angela Pedraza of New York and brothers Blas Carrasquillo, Juan Carrasquillo and Felipe Carrasquillo, all of Puerto Rico.
She was preceded in death by her husband Teodoro Alick in 2012, daughter Estelle Alick in 2008, parents Fabian and Evarista Carrasquillo (nee Pedraza), sisters Maria Mediavilla, Elena Pedraza and Faustina Ayala and brothers Guillermo Pedraza, Francisco Carrasquillo and Candido Carrasquilla.
The family will receive friends Friday April 29, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo- Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 30, 2016 at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Theodore Wilson II, chaplain of Crossroads Hospice, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
