Jean Majjasie, 75, Will be Deeply Missed
Jean Majjasie (nee Stephanchick), 75, of Elyria, died Thursday May 5, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.
She was born October 16, 1940 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Elyria and Lorain area resident.
Jean was a member of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Sheffield Lake and St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Sheffield Village.
She is survived by her daughters: Susan Baker (Calvin) of Sheffield Village and Debra Mason (Michael) of Elyria; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Majjasie on October 21, 2015, father Stephen A. Stephanchick in 1970 and mother Theresa M. Stephanchick (nee Keressi) in 2004.
Private family graveside services were held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Mark Hurlbut, chaplain of Lofton Henderson Marine Corps League of Lorain, presided.
Arrangements were under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
