Maria Rosario Maldonado, 58, Enjoyed Music and Dancing

She was born October 7, 1957 in Lorain and lived in Lorain all her life. Mary graduated from Southview High School in 1975. Mary was self-employed as a housekeeper and caregiver. She was previously employed at Moen, MTD, Lithonia and US Steel. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Chapel and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Mary enjoyed music, dancing, arts and crafts, DIY projects and gardening. She very much loved spending time with her grandchildren and providing care to her parents.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Elisa Maldonado and Ilyia Maldonado both Lorain; her parents Luis G. and Maria M (née Dueño) Maldonado of Lorain; sisters Carmen Gonzalez of Lorain, Judith (Leo Gonzalez) Maldonado of Aibonito, Puerto Rico; Rose Delic of Elyria, and Milly (Manuel) Brillon of Lorain; brother Deacon Luis A. (Maria) Maldonado of Amherst; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Maria was preceded in death by her brother Steve Maldonado; niece Jessica Delic and nephews Christopher Maldonado and Steven Pruchinsky.
Her family will receive friends Sunday, July 10 from 3 to 8 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Friends may also call Monday from 8:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
