Richard E. Revercomb, 77, Owner of Revercomb Trucking

He leaves behind his wife, of 17 years Sheri Lee Revercomb of Sheffield Village; his daughters Dianna (Kevin) Pyles, of Lorain, Sandy (Don) Dionne, Laurie (Mark) Beam-Zimmerle and Sherry (Duane) Long, all of Indiana, Christina (David) Fisher, of South Dakota; sons Richard (Cindy) Revercomb, Jr. of Lorain, and John Revercomb of Fort Wayne, Indiana; step-daughter Misty (David) Brown of Millersburg, step-son Rickie Joe Bubby (Alicia) Fitch, Jr. of Middleburg Heights, 27 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Richard was born on June 8, 1939 in Elyria, to Robert Revercomb, Sr. WW II Merchant Marine and Alice (née Page) Revercomb, who predeceased him in death. He grew up in a large, loving family with his five brothers Robert Revercomb of Lorain, Ohio, Daniel (Betty) Revercomb, Air Force, of Tennessee, who both preceded him in death; he was survived by Jim (Barb) Revercomb, Army, Jesse (Shirley) Revercomb of Indiana, Alan Revercomb Marine Vietnam Veteran, of Lorain; sisters Linda Antczak of Lorain and Debbie Revercomb of California.
He worked as a technician, responsible for the building and maintenance of incinerators for Brule from 1973 to 1999 and was a hardworking and successful business owner of Revercomb Trucking for nearly 30 years. Those who knew him best will always remember Richard as a caring, generous, and loving man who had a heart of gold.
His family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 27, from 2 until time of service at 5 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st. Street, South Lorain. Very Rev. Canon Steven M. Paliwoda, Pastor of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate. A reception at the Lake Erie Moose Lodge # 552, 204 West 5th Street, Lorain, will follow. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses can be made and also to the Sobering Centers Inc. it's a 501C3 to help homeless and all veterans for better living, at the funeral home.
