Henry J. Slana, 94, U.S. Navy Veteran
Henry J. Slana, 94, of Lorain passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Slana was born in Lorain on August 8, 1921, the son of the late Frank and Louise (nee Pusnik) Slana. He was a graduate of Lorain High School in the Class of 1939.
He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WW II. He was employed by US Steel in Lorain for 43 years retiring as a foreman.
Mr. Slana enjoyed reading, building clocks and repairing antique clocks, garage sales, and actively following current affairs.
He is survived by several cousins and many friends.
Graveside Services will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, with full military honors.
The family suggest that memorial contributions be made in Henry's name to the Friend's of the Lorain Public Library, Inc Lorain Public Library, 351 Sixth St., Lorain, OH 44052
